How to open .sit files

I done a search and found a program called stuffit, but it only has a trial version. Are there any freeware programs that will handle this type of files?

Stuffit Expander is free with a sign-up 🙂

Do a search for "The Unarchiver". It's much more elegant than Stuffit, and free. 🙂
