Has anyone else had this problem? There's a thread about it on Apple's boards but no real answer as to a solution.

I had an iBook and iMac running Leopard but had to downgrade the iMac back to Tiger in order for one of the machines to see the Airport Extreme base station (early 2007 version). Neither one could under Leopard.
Has anyone else had this problem- or more to the point solved it?
