parallels or vmware fusion?

theres been many a thread on this. use the search feature

Both have a free trial. Download both and play with them for a couple of weeks. See which you like best.

This forum is for the Macbooks, it's not for software especially Windows Virtualization. Your question would be best answered on the Windows on a Mac forum.

I use Parallels Desktop and I enjoy it much! Easy to install, easy to run with its excellent usability! I also use BootCamp for gaming. But I should say that sometimes I run games through Parallels not new and not with so serious system requirements ones.
By the way if you decide to get Parallels Desktop don't forget to take advantage from their special offer! I got additional software with Parallels Desktop!

I have had and used both with windows XP. Parallels was good but for some reason I prefer VMWare. I dident notice much difference but I prefer the way VMware works and is laid out. VMWare also has a good history with virtual machines and are the leaders in the market over on the PC side.

I second VMWare fusion and I'm very happy with it.

After having used both. I'd say Fusion. To top it off Nova Development (Parallels) has no honored my rebate claiming missing "proof of purchase", which was stapled to the rebate form. It is cut out of my box, so where did it go if not on the rebate?

For those VMWare users out there...

Is it better to remove the Windows Bootcamp partition and then do a new install through Fusion? Is there any benefit to this (speed, ease of use)? Or should I just install Fusion and have it access my Bootcamp partition?

I tried to install Parallels on NON-Intel Mac - PowerBook G4. It required an Intel based mac. Did anybody face such a problem?

Does Fusion require Intel-based macs? If it's possible to install Fusion on PB G4?

I never had any problems using it with existing Bootcamp partitions. I think you will be fine with your existing installation.

Both Parallels and Fusion require Intel based Macs.

Um... it states on both websites that intel CPU's are required.
