I got a new 24" LCD monitor - which the resolution should be set at 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz. When I boot up my Mac, those are the settings that get used.

However, when my Mac woke up from sleep mode, the monitor was running at 800 x 600. When I went to display prefs, 1920 x 1200 wasn't an available choice....the closest were 1600 x 1200 and 1900 x 1440. "Detect monitors" did nothing to improve the situation. For grins I picked 1600 x 1200 and it works but obviously isn't optimal.

So I restarted the Mac and it restarted at 1600 x 1200 and my required 1920 x 1200 resolution still wasn't available. I had to power off and then back on the Mac and then it started in 1920 x 1200 mode. I let it go into sleep mode and it came back out at 1600 x 1200 mode (better than 800 x 600, but not what I want).

Is there any way to force the proper resolution to appear in the available list? Any fix for the coming out of sleep "bug"? (OS X 10.5.1)
