I got an image not available link....

No wonder Yahoo is losing money!!

Sorry about that, here are a couple of pics that I saved from that Yahoo link before they killed it.

Edit: just saw from the Yahoo picture link that it says Chile.

Also tidied up the hyperlink in the previous post for you - here it is

I saw this in the paper a couple of weeks ago and meant to post about it then, totally forgot of course 😱

Amazing!

You're welcome absolut_mac - actually I could not change the link in your post, but in my post I gave the correct hyperlink.

Have fun down there 🙂

I like the swimming pool at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas.

And I always thought that you preferred the Tropicana because of their two zillion stairs to the roof garden 😉

By the way, hasn't it been replaced by another billion dollar resort, or is it still there?

In my neighborhood pool, jr. olympic size, it takes 40 laps to 1k.

This pool would be MUCH more simple to count laps.😀

Ooh, I wish I had known about that when I was there!

I don't know. I was on the Strip recently but there are so many hotels I can't keep track of them anymore. Somebody should make a Hotel Pools web site with photos and descriptions of every notable pool in the world!

Gah, if I could swim a length of that pool I could finally do a triathlon....

You probably can. It just takes a bit of practice.

I started teaching myself how to swim in September (2007), progressed, and by December I could swim around 14 laps. I still swim 14 laps, but a 1,000m pool is only 20 laps. If I stretched myself, I could do it now.

It might look like they have boats in there only for fun - not so. I'm sure that they also have them there to rescue unfit swimmers who venture too far out 😱
