Another OS 10.2.5 question

As I stated before I won't boot since I installed it. There is a few files I cannot lose. If I reinstall OSX will all my files be lost? What can I do to save them?

Thanks a bunch!
 
All you have to do is pop in the OSX install CD choose the archive install and all your data will be put into a folder labeled previous system. Nothing will be deleted.
