EDIT: OK, so there is an education discount. But this one is better. I get a discount on the MBA with my McDonald's discount. (I work at McDonald's so we get discounts on certain companies).

Is this obsolete information?

Note: My discount takes of $108

are you sure the mcdonald's discount applies to the MBA? Corporate discounts for Apple sometimes do not extend to all products (ie: they get a %off on iPods but NO DISCOUNT on iPhone)

my college gets $100 of off the MBA student discount (checked it right after the thing showed up on the website)

actually i get a .edu discount, i just checked it.
get $100 off the cheaper one, and $230 off the SSD one.

Yes, I've been eyeing the edu discount. base price $1699 instead of $1799.

You can also go by route of amazon.com's gold box trick to get it for about $1705 shipped (base model)
