Ok so i would like to re-install leopard on my macbook. and i sortof lost the cd's to reinstall it...can i borrow my friends leopard cd's that came with his macbook to reinstall the OSX????

He said that he lost the DVD so lets assume that he's telling the truth and lets try not to insult the poor guy.
 
Contact Apple, I'm sure they'll send you another load.

Don't know if it'll cost anything, but they should send you another.
 
ok...so he has a 2.0 and i have a 2.2 ghz mb...any issues with that??

It WOULD be legal if he really did buy Leopard and "sort of lost the CDs".

Maybe I'm the only one here that's skeptical....
yes i really did lose the dvd's.
however i think this is very stupid of apple if you can really use someones else's installer cd's to upgrade you mac. i wonder how much money they have lost!
 
Nothing is illegal because you own a license to leopard, where ever it might be.

It should work. Both MBP, though I have run into issues with a macs refusing to boot off of a bundled disk when I have put in a new hard drive.
