Hi all,
I have a question about file sharing and security.

My set up is like this...
I have a new eMac (running OS X), an older PowerMac G3 (OS9), and a Laserwriter 600 Pro. Each of them is connected to a router by an ethernet cable, and the router is connected to a cable modem from whence my internet connection commeth. 😛

What I'd like to do is set it up so that the G3 mounts the hard drive of the eMac on it's desktop, and the eMac mounts the hard drive of the G3 on it's desktop. That way I can get to either drive from either machine. However, what I want to make sure is that this open sharing is only going on between my machines through the router and not back to the internet. In other words, I'm worried that if I turn file sharing on that I could get hacked.

So, any help/advise would be muchly appreciated!
