Well, it seems that I am one of the many that sit in front of their computer checking if Apple released 10.5.2

This update was supposed to fix a problem with Web Galleries! Mine are still there

Anyway, the software update page on Apple.com isn't yet updated. Maybe 10.5.2 will also come (I doubt it though, not today at least)

Does anyone know if they updated CoreImage? I don't have any pictures with me, but I would love it if they added D3/D300 support.

I think it is the extra libraries for their pro applications. The only thing I know that is extra is UI parts. The pro applications use some custom UI.

Let's hope this improves Logic a bit, but I'm not holding my breath.

So where's a real Logic update, it's badly in need of one?

Just curious as to what you think it needs.

Isn't "braille display" an oxymoron?

Either way, 10.5.2 is coming this month if they want to meet the Time Capsule deadline.

Do they make full-screen tactile displays, that reproduce the whole screen, windows and all? That sounds really useful for some things. Especially with all fonts converted to braille.

Just wondering out loud.

Correct: ProKit 4.5 improves reliability for Apple's professional applications and is recommended for all users of Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Express, Aperture, Logic Studio and Logic Express.

you're kidding right?? obviously you aren't a studio owner. logic is a freakin disaster! overload messages, terrible stability with 3rd party plugins, cpu hog, doesn't nice well with other apps, random crashes and other general stability problems...shall i go on? im a former apple beta tester/studio owner i am here to tell you that logic has really taken a back seat to apple's other focuses ie...the blasted iphone....they better pull it together very soon or many serious major industry logic users will walk away...

I heard that 10.5.2 requires iPhoto 7.1.2

Quicktime 7.4 introduced lots of stability problems into Final Cut.

Let's see if this is the fix to that...

Is it just me, or is iPhoto a little more snappy?

I'd be willing to bet this means no Apple TV or 10.5.2 updates until next week. Apple seems to release about 3 updates at a time and doesn't release any others for about a week. They probably don't want to bog down their servers.

I want my Apple TV update

Hey now! I said I was just curious. I wasn't arguing or doubting you or anything. I just said I was curious as to what you thought it needed. Please don't write in such a condescending way! This is a friendly forum!

I am a studio owner, actually. I have had problems with Logic, sure, but I would hardly call it a disaster. I have also had problems with Digital Performer. I don't use Pro Tools, but I have played in sessions during which the engineer had problems with it. From what I have learned, and apparently what you have learned too, Logic is the best software for me.

It's snappier for me too! I just noticed that switching to edit mode happens in the blink of an eye. Oh and Safari AND Finder are WAY Snappier after this update as well!

Can't wait till I get home, that is, if this update fixes the slow import of high res photos and HD movies from my digital camera.

Anyone confirm if this speeds up the import process. Or I guess I will wait till I get home.

Actually, in all seriousness, switching to edit mode does seem faster then before....
