If this has already been answered, can someone please point me in the right direction.

I shoot all of my home videos on an HD camcorder and use Final Cut Express 4 to edit and process them into final form. I don't know (or understand) what settings or file formats I should be using to export the video for high quality viewing on my Apple TV. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure someone with some experience will jump in and help... but for now, you're stuck with me. :)

Apple TV needs files to be in H.264 format. These are MP4 files.

You should be able to export in that format. Failing that, you can use QuickTime to do the conversion for you.

Keep in mind that Apple TV is limited to 720p output.
