Macbook Air + Ruby on Rails

Is anyone out there already doing Rails on a MBA? I am about to buy one but I would love to hear some word about performance.

Textmate is not too heavy duty but I like it to be snappy at least like my 2.0 C2D MB.

I know David has one, but it is the SSD and he says its like 30% slower than his 2.4 MBP.

I am thinking of going with the 1.8 HD, any word about performance compared to other computers? (not benchmark, I am a sympathetic person please tell me your feelings).

Location: UK? Yeah I'm OK. Stop asking.
i can't imagine you'd have any problems doing rails development on an air. people develop on much much less (ibooks!)

anyway, you should be using python and django
Abortions for some, miniature American flags for others!

I haven't had any issues with it, but I haven't done a lot of rails with the mba yet (got it yesterday).

It's a little slower, but has been fine for me running autotest, mongrel, etc.

Full-time developer using Ruby on Rails, Cocoa - never had a dev. machine I've liked more. Migrated from a 1.83Ghz MBP for reference.
