Nice underwater pics of the turtles, reminds me of Sipadan.

Those waterfalls look immense.

yeah what island were you on? ive been to the big island of Hawaii and Maui. both are beautiful and want to go back as soon as i can!

that looks like kona to me.. but ive only been to kona, oahu, and kauai. kauai was beautiful. i was there for two weeks over christmas

What Island. I spend about 6 to 8 weeks in Hawaii every year, mostly on Oahu and Maui. I see turtles like that every time I dive sharks Cove on the North Shore, you start to get used to it after a while. Great shots non the less, and great post processing on the color.

Matt

awesome pics. I'm going to Maui and Kauai on May 31st. But who's counting. 😉
How did you get such awesome underwater pics? Are you a certified diver? Which island was it?
Where did you stay on Maui? Where staying at the Ho'olei which is part of the Grand Wailea

Are you a certified diver?
Yes, I'm a certified diver with over 400 hours underwater and a semi-professional underwater photographer.

Which island was it?
The dive pictures were off both Maui and Hawaii.

We stayed at the Maui Prince, just down the road from the Grand Wailea. Grab a mask and snorkel and head out the beach. There's plenty right there to see.

My little Elph (SD450) didn't do so well in Hawaii last summer - not sure why. I have pictures from Europe that are absolutely amazing from the same camera, but I guess in America it settles for mediocrity 😛

totally agree. no need to go on a expedition. we went snorkeling on our beach and saw tons of fish, turtles and some sting rays! can't see that everyday

Maybe in America the photographer settled for mediocrity 😛

Fantastic shots Greg!! Absolutely love the UW shots of the Triggers and the Turtles.

Indeed - Hawai'i is about as close to paradise as can be found; be it above or below the water surface.

(it's nice living where most people only get to vacation) 😀

~ Much Aloha ~
