I am taking on the task of firing up my old Mac LC (circa 1991)! Right away I've run into an odd problem, the computer starts OK with the startup chime and shows the gray screen and cursor (which responds to the mouse) but the motherboard simply beeps, once every 10 seconds. I thought it was a POST test error at first but Macs of this vintage wouldn't do the startup chime if that was the case, and would do their death chime instead.

Any ideas, or online resources that would be helpful? I've tried Apple's support site but it isn't really helpful.
