caps locked messed up

since upgrading to the new 10.5.2 or what ever is it now, my caps lock is messed up

i.e. with caps lock on i type in lower case and with it off i type is upper case 😕

WTF lol?

Any idea's?

Is this a laptop or a desktop? If laptop, do you have an external keyboard that might be mucking with things? I've never heard of an issue like this.
 
the keyboard on my mac book, this was never an issue till i installed 10.5.2 🙁

right now im typing with my caps lock pressed and the little green light on and yet its typing in lower case

*edit* just noticed num lock is also on and has the same effect i.e. when its on i can type ok when its off i cant type with letters
