Installing DBD::mysql on leopard server
I have bee ntrying unsuccessfully to install DBD::mysql as a mysql driver to Perl DBI.
The CPAN version does not understand Leopard's structure. Tried following hints about finding where mysql was located in /usr/local etc and making symbolic links in those directories so that the DBD Makefile would not fall over. Didn;t work Tried using MacPorts. problem is that it installs a new version of Mysql and Perl and I want to use the built in Mysql and perl. anyway the automatic installation of Perl during the MacPorts 'port install p5-dbd-mysql' did not work. Hours of googling has not found the answer, has anyone else? |
