Hello, first post. Couldn't find this anywhere in the search.

Basically I was running Dock Doctor and my dock started acting strangely, ie not showing running apps etc. So I AppZapped it, deleted 'com.apple.dock.db' and 'com.apple.dock.plist' and restarted.

Now however I do not have Dock Preferences.

The Dock preference pane in System Preferences has completely disappeared, and when I right click on the dock and hit Dock Preferences, it just says 'the application cannot be found'.

Does anyone have any idea of how to get this back? I'm a little scared of using Terminal btw, but could probably manage with clear instructions!

Thanks v much!

Anyone got even the slightest clue about this?

I'm running 10.5.2 if that makes any difference. Would really appreciate any pointers at all :)

Thanks Mr Black.

At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, where do I put this? I cannot find it in a search, and I can't find anything for System Preferences in Library...

Just download it run it and system prefs should pop up and it will stay there.

Aaaah. Legend. How simple.

Strangely even though it's now come back into System Preferences it still reads 'Application not found' when I right click on the dock itself.

Not to worry though, it works, that's the important thing. Thanks people
