how do i put audio on a website?

I've done a website that offers visitors the option to click on a link and thereby listen to a "program", which is currently an mp3 or aifc file on the server. I can use <embed...> and it works fine on a pc, but my client tells me that it doesn't work on his Mac. How can I accomplish this? Here's the website: http://www.romantichours.com
