10.5 image from a 10.4 server...machine shuts off at spinning globe

After the release of 10.5.2, I used the 10.5 SIU to create a netinstall image for a bunch of iMacs and MacBooks we have in. Image creation went fine, but when the machine to be imaged boots, it shows the spinning globe, then shuts down.

I tested the image on all the iMacs, Macbooks and older G5s, G4s and intels, they all do the same. The older 10.4 images still work fine and I created a NetBoot image that everything (PPCs and Intels) can boot off of just fine. It's just the NetInstall image that craps out.

Is this a problem with 10.5 images on 10.4 server or something else?

EDIT: I'm hoping this might help:
