Touchpad Functions and Firefox

Do people think that future versions of firefox will incorporate the touchpad functionality? I really like it on Safari but I prefer firefox as a browser. Is this something that Apple would likely keep to their browser or do other browsers just need to program for it?

I'm sure Apple will be just as forthcoming to third parties with their software as they have always been.

You can take that as you will.
