MacBook Pro and Samsung 226BW Resolution problems
I have a Samsung 226Bw 22" monitor. When it's hooked up to my iMac the resolution is great. However hooked up to my MacBook Pro the text is almost unreadable and there is a red color cast. Suggestions?

Are you using desktop mirroring (same thing shows up on laptop monitor and external monitor) or spreading (can move the mouse off of laptop screen onto the external)
If you are using mirroring, it will be attempting to give the samsung the same resolution as your laptop monitor which may be causing problems. It's also possible that you have a bad connector on the MBP. Are you connected with VGA or DVI? Have you tried connecting the MBP to any other external monitors to see if the problem happens no matter what is connected to it? |
