I switched to mac after jag, and don't know much about upgrading mac OS's. I already backed up all my important doc's and music collection to CD. I think I'm going to reinstall jag from scratch before I install panther. This way I can get rid of the 8 months worth of junk I've downloaded and start from scratch again.

My Questions:
1) Should I partition part of my 40 gig drive for the OS?

2) Besides my Mail and Network preferences, is there anything else really important I should write down?

3) Do I really need to reinstall jag to remove all the junk, or will panther give me the option to do this when I install?

4) My machine is dual boot 9 and X. Will nine be gone after installing panther, or will I have the option to keep nine on the drive?

5) How long does the install process take?

That's it. Can't wait to be rockin' Panther later this week.
