Dock Disappears

After a sleep the dock sometimes disappears and the stacks animations mess up (only the grey highlighting bar remains).

Has anyone had any luck fixing this?
 
I hate to say it.... Sounds like a Permissions problem. Try repairing permissions and see if that helps.

EDIT: I did a repair but the items that it has reported are recent. This problem's a little while older than the items in queston.
