Startup "Dong" sound dosen't work anymore.

My MacBook Pro doesn't play the startup "Dong" sound when I first startup the machine. Anyone know how I can enable it again? I've had the machine for a couple of months now and it was working fine. Thanks for the help.

Nope, the volume isn't muted.

Why would anyone want it off? That is the sound of greatness. That's why I want it back.
