emails keep showing up on my iphone after being deleted

Make sure your computer is deleting them from the server. Barring that, contact your ISP, because they are not deleting your messages when requested.

I delete emails on my iphone as well as on my mac at home. my email is POP with optimum online.
Why do older emails ( from days ago ) keep showing up on my iphone even after they are delete on both ?
I had that problem with my gMail. I set it up using IMAP instead of POP and it works fine now. When I delete them from either my phone or computer, it shows accordingly on the other. Hope this helps.
