New Mac Pro Octo!!!

Simply overwhelmed with Joy, but girlfriend refused to let me do more than boot it until tonight.

BTW I was shopping for a Macbook Pro, but decided I wanted limitless power. (Well, sorta).

Anyways, any suggestions for software?

Hardware:
MOTU Ultralite
Novation SL
Mac Pro 2.8 8cx/2/320
Vestax PCI100 USB Mixer

Looking for stuff to create sample material for minimal techno and progressive.
Also interested in AUs or VSTs that work with Live 6/7.

TGIF, today is going to feel like 80 hours.

You can go any direction with that set-up. I work with Protools HD/LE and even Logic. Weird Im actually just getting into Garageband. Ive used Reason for a number of years so Im hoping this should be fun
I play guitar in a cover band and my drummer uses Garageband for sequencing. Looks like fun to use.

Ableton Live, Reactor, and Reason. Thats all you really need for that minimalistic techo garbage

check out albino for the VST. There are tons more but really this is all you need along with those other 3 programs.
