Yes, 'twould be awesome. Nvidia has yet to announce the mobile 9600 GPU though, so don't get your hopes too high.

Well, they just released the 8800 mobile, didn't they? Wonder if they'll smack that in along with the Monteniva :p

i hope the 9600 mobiles are thin enough to fit the aluminum enclosure.

Well they will have to update it eventually, cant run 8600 forever...hopefully within next update :D

I refuse to buy until there is a decent gpu upgrade.

And an 8600m is an integrated card? This is a ridiculous statement. What are you going to do with the macbook pro? Play Crysis? Far Cry 2? Get a desktop, damn.

The 9300M GT and 9500M GS are just the 8400M GT and 8600M GT.

ATI is getting a lot more interest with its 55nm Mobility HD 3xxx Series.

The Mobility HD 3600 is just a die shrink of the previous HD 2600 XT. Expect more or less the same small advantage from clock speeds over the 8600M GT (9500M GS) that the older 2600 had but with it being cooler and drawing less power.

ATI cards seem to shine until you toss in anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering.
