ipod feature has started repeating each song

I have a new ipod touch (version 1.1.3). It has been fantastic these past two weeks. I went on a road trip with my brother this weekend, and whilst I was driving he did something to it. Since that point, the ipod feature has played, but it repeats the same song over, until you forward to the next song. Can something be done to remedy this problem, short of doing a restore on the ipod touch ? I hope not to have to reinstall all of my music.

While a song is playing, tap once on the screen (the album screen for the song). This will bring up a "progress bar" of sorts that shows the songs progress. If you look to the left of the bar you'll see the "song repeat" icon (two arrows making a circle). If its blue then its turned on and that's why each song is playing over and over for you. Tap it once to turn it off. It should turn white. If its not blue and your songs are still repeating then I am at a loss, and can't help you.

God bless you! I've been going crazy the last few days! My kids always have their hands all over the Touch in the car.
