Best printer/scanner solution for OSX 10.5 over AEBS

My question is twofold:
What is the best color printer/scanner for Mac OS X 10.5?

Will the scanner and printing options be available if I use plugged into AEBS via USB?
NOTE: I currently have a Canon i960 which is giving me fits when used over AEBS.
 
You won't have scanner functionality through an AEBS, you would need a network usb hub or even use those wireless usb devices.

I can't give you a recommendation on printer/scanner combo, but I heard that the hp wireless printers are pretty good
