MacBook 2.2 & 2.4, do they use the same type of RAM?

I was just wondering. I have 4 gb of RAM from my 2.2 MacBook that my wife inherited. Will that RAM work in my new 2.4 MacBook? If you look at Crucial the RAM for the two different machines have different model numbers. Does that matter? Thanks.
