So I'm getting a iMac G4 17" 1.25 and...

And i was wondering if these are able to run leopard without too much of a speed drag??? if it doesn't its still an awesome computer...has anyone tried this?

It's not exactly going to be lightening fast, but it'll be OK. Just make sure to load it up with RAM.

Unless there's any "killer" features in Leopard you need, you might even be better running Tiger.

i'm still debating if i should get one of these. probably my second most favorite computer after the pb 12". great design. you're lucky!

I'm running it on an 867MHz G4 Power Mac QuickSilver, and it runs fine from what I can see. I haven't done a lot with it, but it seems very responsive. It does have 1.5GB of RAM, which can only help.

I don't know off the top of my head the differences in GPUs, but the iMacs probably is a bit more capable (GeForce 4 MX vs GeForce FX 5200 Ultra, with twice the VRAM).

I'm running Leopard 10.5.2 on my 1.67ghz G4 17" Powerbook with 1.5gb ram, so far it's been good and have not had any problems.

Ordering my new MBP 17" 2.6ghz, 200gb 7200rpm, 4g ram, high res version today yippeee at long last, waited sooooo long for this.
