While I chose 2% (as it is my preference), my wife is both lactose intolerant and allergic to soy; thus I've been having rice milk in my cereal for at least 3 years now.
Rice milk is actually ok, and better than skim IMO. As for milk alternatives I'd rather have almond milk over any other kind... it's really good, but practically double the price of rice milk.
Oh and to make sure I don't loose my ability to digest lactose, I make sure to nip down to the food court at work and pick up a 500ml carton of 2% chocolate milk about once a week. 🙂
