S Storm9 macrumors member Original poster Feb 29, 2008 #1 I got a new MBP, I had it reformat my USB HDD and use it for time machine. But when I plug into my Vista PC it isn't detected. I tried deleting all files on HDD but it is still registered as time machine. How can I totally reformat it on leopard?

TEG macrumors 604 Feb 29, 2008 #2 You did reformat, you just kept it in Mac OS Extended Format (HFS+). You need to reformat it in MS-DOS Format (FAT 32), then you should be fine. TEG
