I have placed a Fire wire cable between my PowerBook G4 and a Mac Pro.
I then placed the Leopard DVD into the Mac Pro and have accessed Fire wire Target Disk Mode. My PowerBook G4 sees the drives on the Mac Pro. That was all I wanted to do.

How do I exit out of the Fire wire Target Disk Mode gracefully on the Mac Pro?

Thanks.

Or, in the left side of a finder window, click on the eject button next to the FW drive. Once the drive disappears from Finder, you can turn off the power on your drive, if there is a power switch, or just unplug the FW & power cables.
