After I installed Panther I launched up Maple 9, and noticed that it bounced in the dock and had a black arrow under it, however no screens came up. And the application name doesn't appear next the Apple menu. However I can see Maple 9 in the "command tab" list, and it looks open in the dock.

Maple 9 is a Java program.

First I though that this could have been a problem with Maple 9, however whenever I tired to launch Applet Launcher or Java 1.4.1 Plug-In Settings, in the utilities folder, it did the same exact thing as it did with Maple 9.

Has anybody else have this kind of problem? Maybe with Open Office or some other Java based application. The weird part of this whole problem is that I can still launch Java applets inside Safari.
