iPod touch Making an ipod touch stand

Pretty cool, but did you not notice the iPod touch comes with a small clear plastic stand in the box? :eek:

P.S. it's iPod touch not iTouch!

What the? When did they start including plastic stands?

I bought my iPod Touch at Christmas (16 gig) and it didn't come with a stand :( i could have really done with having one :(

It must have.

I got my first iPod in October, it had one. That one got stolen, but I think I still have the stand.

I'll take a look (when I clean my room up) and if I do, you can have it. :)

Check your box though, it's very small.

I have thoroughly checked the box, and everywhere around it! I am the kind of person that keeps absolutely everything inside just in case I would want to sell it in the future, or would need to take it back etc, so there is no chance it could have been thrown out or lost. Everything to do with my iPod Touch is inside the box :(

I remember opening it on Christmas and carefully having a look at everything. There was definitely not one in there :(

It was in mine which I ordered the day they came out.

Did your touch come with the black cloth?

Look back in the box. Maybe you threw it away and thought it was just a piece of plastic.
 
I've looked like 5 times now. Yes, it has the cloth in it. Like I said before, I wouldn't throw anything out inside the box, I always keep it so that it can be sold. (Not that I'd want to, but you never know!). I even still have the original white packet, complete with the bit I tore off the corner to open it (lol!) and all of the plastic film that the iPod was wrapped in.
 
I'm sure it is, lol, but its not there. I've emptied the content sof the box and spread everything out (including the tiny ripped off corner of the wrapping) and there is no stand to be seen. (Or not seen)
 
The stand should be in the package with the earphones and cords in the back of the box.
 
Yeah, there definitely wasn't one in there. I haven't even unpackaged the headphones or USB cable as I am using the headphones from my first gen nano, and already have still have the old lead as well.

My 32GB came with one, its only useful if you don't use a case on it, its no real loss...

Edit: its also acts as a dock connector plug cover / protector.

My iPod Touch does indeed have a silicone case to prevent scratches, and a few light bumps, so probably wouldn't fit. The edges are thicker as well because of the 'reinforced' case that I chose.

You haven't opened the package but you know the stand isn't in there????

Try opening the package and taking everything out. It's in there.

If you still need one (check the packet though, I think Davidy's right), just say, and I shall embark on a magnificent search for the other stand.
 
Actually there is a huge problem regarding the stands, many people that have bought a Touch over the last couple of months (at least from Christmas) have reported they didn't get a stand with their iPod. There's an entire thread at the official Apple board.
 
Sorry, I wasn't very clear.

I have opened the white packet but have left the headphones and the USB cable in there individual strip of plastic. The white pack is opened, and has been thoroughly checked, to no success.

Ubuntu, thanks so much for offering to find yours, but would it not cost a bit to post it? Especially if we're situated in different countries.
 
No Stand

Hi guys

I bought my ipod touch in NYC when they first came out and it had no stand, last month my friend Matt in London bought one and his had no stand....it was this that prompted me to make one and produce the video. I am not sure why some people get one and some people don't, different factories/packing warehouses or something, who knows. The video took me three minutes to make and I thought there must be other people in my position.

Regarding the name, I call it an itouch because everyone knows what you mean and it takes 4 fewer key strokes to type.....its just more efficient...:)
