Hi - I want to convert a movie that I created in iMovie 8 to Flash (swf file preferably) to post on a website - how do I do it exactly? Thanks for any advice.

convert from imovie to flash

Step 1) export from imovie to quicktime .mov
Step 2) with quicktime pro or adobe Flash CS3 Video Encoder convert .mov video to .flv
Step 3) Embed the flv with flash within a player (with stop, play, etc, buttons)

You could just use iMovie's built in 'Share With YouTube' feature, and then grab the .flv file from the site.

Free online converter

I used this free converter and it worked fine to export a swf but you can't adjust the scripting at all for looping etc:

Sorry to bump this back up, but just wanted to point out that YouTube rejects movies longer than 10 minutes, so just be careful about that.
