For a few years I have had an HP laserjet 4050TN laser printer. I love the print quality and speed of this model. I originally got it with a J3111A 10mbps Jetdirect 600N card.

Anyway, this week I picked up a J3113A 10/100mbps JetDirect 600N card. I installed it in the printer and printed a configuration page. It said the IP address of the printer is 192.168.20.25... doesn't this seem slightly odd?

I can find the printer in OS X's printer utility, but in windows when I type in the IP address it does not find the printer. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Is there a way to reset the IP address back to the factory default so I can use the online jet-direct config page?

Keep in mind I don't have that printer or that jetdirect card...
I think you will find that all jetdirects respond to:
telnet {IP of Jetdirect}

There, you can set a fixed IP address within your network, or turn on DHCP.

Does that help?
