Create software JBOD?

I'd like to take 3 or 4 USB HDDs and turn them into a single logical disk. Speed and redundancy aren't high priorities (interested in size, expandability) so 'JBOD' is probably the best solution. I'd like to add disks to the 'array' as I go, as well. Any suggestions?
