Question about Boot Caches, Would like certainty not speculation?
I have a Question about Mac OS X Leopard and Boot Caches. It is a two part question. If you know the answer, please reply if you are speculating, please hold off. Here it is.
1. First Part, When you install something, whether it is an update or some other piece of software, and Mac tells you it is Updating the Boot Caches, is this permanent? Meaning,
If the operating system is reinstalled are these boot cache updates removed or do they stay installed?
2. If these are permanent, how are they removed, or the Mac restored to factory defaults?
Where are the boot caches held, and how can I view what is installed in the boot caches, meaning is there a way to see them?
Thanks for any help in advance,
