Hi,

This is my first post to MacRumors.com.

Someone just gave me their old Powerbook G3 pismo. Everything works perfectly except for the display.

The LCD has a huge crack running down it and half of the screen is totally dead.

Obviously, it needs to be replaced. I've seen pismo displays on eBay for good prices, but does anyone know if this would work?

Where do I find out how to take the old display off and the new one on? Can I do this myself?

I'd like to fix the problem, upgrade the ram to 512, and get Panther running.

Thanks for any help!
