iPod not showing up

My iPod is now not showing up on iTunes or on the desktop anymore. It still runs when it is not plugged into the computer, but I cant add any songs. When I plug it in, it shows the firewire symbol and then it shows a folder with a ! inside a triangle in the bottom left corner. Can anyone help me.


I am using a G4 400 AGP with OS 9.2.2 and iTunes 2
 
Update: its fixed.

How:
1 Plugged iPod in, and restarted Mac.
2 OS 9 said it was unreadable, and wanted to know if I should format it.
3 formatted under "Macintosh Extended"
4 Then iTunes helped me set it back up.

Formatting it deleted all my songs, but I still had them on the computer.

I am now happy🙂
