well, to me it's all decoration
i don't like to wear jewelry, and i tend to kill plants
so i have them etched on me
it's a personal preference
i kinda enjoy the pain too
yeah, i'm weird

Being tattooed releases endorphins and adrenaline which is why some people find tattoos addictive.
I know I do. It's a good job I'm always skint or I'd be covered by now.

i don't know how anyone can stop at one
the only one i didn't enjoy was the recoloring
that was much worse
and i'm wondering about my foot
cause it's boney
i'm gonna do it anyway
i watched a girl pass out getting one on her ankle
that i didn't understand

my sister has one on her ankle and one on her foot. the pain wasnt a problem, but her foot and ankle both swelled up afterwords for each. and i would imagine that it would be a bit uncomfortable at least due to the bone, which usually is the worst part.

i've had two recolored now, didn't bother me in the slightest

I know someone who gets the soles of her feet tattooed every 6 months or so. The needle can't get below the skin so the tatts wear away.

I think that's the main reason they don't last too long

Yea its a little swollen, that was another reason I didn't want to post right away, its kinda red and swollen. It won't really do the tattoo justice. But then again, its a VERY simple design.

It's "Post YOUR Tattoos"

^ um... ok.

Any particular reason for peppering thread with consecutive posts with random images of random people with tattoos and no explanation? (I definitely approve of this one though)

Ah, ok.

Though I'd have been thoroughly amused had you been the first one (that is damn funny)

a mod will probably merge those posts, by the way. tsk tsk tsk

its better to get them and regret them, than to never get them and regret not getting them.

Heres mine, its straight across the top of my foot. The turtle is my clan (I'm Haudenosaunee, Mohawk to be specific) we're a matrilineal society so I got my clan from my mom, and her mom and so on and so forth. The squares are to represent the original 5 nations of the haudenosaunee confederacy, but I've replaced the tree in the center with my clan. And the swirl in the middle of the turtle means life and it goes counter clock wise which represents life in the Longhouse.

The squares are purple because originally we used to make the beads that make up the wampum out of quahog shells and they are white and purple, so purple was known to be kinda more rare I suppose but thats how we made designs.

So thats my first and only tattoo, so far. My next one I want to get a boat and a net because my Grandfather was a fisherman. But it'll take me forever to get the pic right.
