I just got a new ibook (well used, but new to me) and I have noticed that when I plug my headphones in the screen goes screwy and blacks out for a second and then comes back on with a flicker?

Should I be worried?
Any ideas of why this is?

Thanx

Mine does this too, and I've never noticed any horrible side effects. If it really bugs you, plug the headphones in before you wake the computer from sleep.

I know why

This happens because your iBook can have video out to a TV, when you insert headphones to your iBook it checks to see if the device you are pluging in is a video or audio device, or both. This happens to me to. But don't be worried. All iBooks do it!
