Unhappy Really means little to me

Tax here in Tennessee kills me (> 9%) so I usually buy all my Apple stuff from CDW (no tax in TN and discounted prices too) I doubt I'll ever buy anything direct from the Apple store.

i just spent $2000 on a 12" powerbook. well, i guess $25 off wouldn´t have changed that much, but it would have at least gotten me a movie+dinner for two.

The $25 plus the EDU discount means that you can get an iPod for only $244. That ain't bad!

Probably valid with only one offer, though.

10% off or less.... that's a pretty cheap discount--not particularly impressive, IMO. whatever, though, you can't complain about saving cash.

Answer

The Apple Store is world wide as it's website is world wide.

Apple just opened it's Tokyo Apple Store so it can say it's World Wide in that sense as well.

I believe the UK will be getting a store next.

I was one of those that got a 25$ off email.

Big Freakin' Deal!

I guess if you order through a local Apple retailer it doesn't count ...

25$ after spending 2000$ this year and 1500$ last year...bah

Depends on where you live.

If you goto cheap movie here you can get in for 6 bucks and rest can be spent for small dinner at some diner. Around here 10-12 bucks would get you good dinner.
So yeah it could be done for $25 bucks.

Can't be used for refurbs (like the $949 PowerMac G4 or the $1199 Powerbook 12"). Can't be combined with Edu discounts. $25 is noise-level anyway. I was hoping to get one of the $100 emails, but I guess that's over with...

Sure, you can access the site from any country, but if they only sell to people in the US then it's not really worldwide.

As for physical stores, 2 countries isn't really worldwide either.

i don´t exactly know what you guys spend, but as a student in germany i can go to a movie with a girlfriend for $10 and to a normal (not too fancy) italian restaurant for another $15. guys, it isn´t about how much you spend, but rather the way you treat them. none of my dates have complained yet.

it took me two years to save the money for my very first mac. rdowns, i guess you´re all about the benjamins, right?!

No offense intended. $25 does not go very far in NYC, barely pays for 2 at the movies with drinks and popcorn.

I applaud you for saving for a Mac.

I earned my first one (Mac SE)by selling 48 Apple //gs systems and 18 Mac SEs through an Apple promotion. Only took one awesome Christmas selling season.

In between, I've owned quite a few and am just waiting for a G5 iMac. I guess you could say I have a few benjamins.

I always thought that going to the movies would be cheaper in the US, considering that's where most of them are from. Anyway, I'm happy with the $4 it costs here

I've got you beat there, I spent my entire summer savings (as a pre college kid) on a 15.2 PB, the high end model. And I did it the morning OF the day the discounts informing email was sent. I could have bought a mouse with the $25 I would have saved...or pay for a weeks worth of food at college...

More stores will come but you can buy online as my friends in Austria, UK and Japan all buy from there.

http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Im...utingpage.html

You should be able to shop through the Aussie online store. They also have number for you to call to order as well.
