What Color Should My Macbook Be?

What color would you prefer for a Macbook?

Like the poll says, what color should I paint my macbook? No, I am not actually getting anything done by colorware, but I am refinished and fixed up a macbook right now and am going to do a refinishing color job on it to resell. It has some problems with the case so I AM going to paint it, so please don't tell me it's hard to do, it can't be done, don't do it etc ... it's out of warranty, ive done this before with good results, i have the tools and time, I just want a idea of what color the most people like out of the choices. I am using colorware colors as a basic idea.

Keep in mind it is a white one, so the trackpad and keys will be white.

Now...

  1. Metallic Dark Red
  2. Metallic Medium Blue
  3. Metallic Light Blue
  4. Yellow
  5. Light Green/Teal with a bit of metallic

  • Metallic - Candy Apple,
  • Midnight (a bit closer to the solid color abyss though),
  • Wet and then
  • Solid, Caution,
  • Jade

Those are the colors I am toying with. so vote away!
 
Metallic Dark red seems the nicest within the options. However, I would love the Ferrari red!
 
Metalic dark red sounds sweet! I how ever am very happy with the whole white plastic look, reminds me of my 4th gen ipod that served me well for years
 
whatever you do, figure out a way to paint the keys and trackpad too, or else it will look off the way every colorware computer does.
 
Dark Red as well.... really sharp...

Question./...

Are you going to make the Apple the same color as well ???
 
The light blue.

I enjoyed customizing the laptop on that site. Very cool. I haven't been on that site in ages.
 
I have an extra set of keys. I'm going to look into dying them and see how that works. That way the letters may still show up, unless I want to make custom key sticky covers for them... hmmmm

Not sure what to do about the track pad though, Gues i'll use my extra top case to figure that out too.

Suggestions are welcome.

Looks like Dark Metallic Red it is or Blue (these votes plus other people here seem to like blue too.. decisions decisions!)
 
lol, yeah, i'm not really into the beautiful color of feces they used.....

I'll stick to nice happy colors thanks. 🙂

hmmm I wish it was easier/possible/not a pain to remove the actual track pad piece ....
 
Oh, I'd go with that plum-like shade, "Prowler". I just love that color! But out of what you've listed, I'd go with jade.
 
I'll go for the jade too! It seems a nice color--bright and interesting but not so bright that you'll get bored with it or it'll hurt your eyes if you use the thing for too long 🙂

I agree with you, I would loove prowler for my blackbook. Mmmm....wish i had money to throw around lol
 
I think that "Techno" is my favorite of those. The white actually looks good with it. Making the "frame" as they call it black would give the same effect as the iMac making the image "pop", but I'm not certain I like it that way.
 
I voted for the metallic red. I love the caution yellow but not for anything as big as a laptop.

I have craved a Caution-painted iPod every winter since I first went to that colorware website.

This year I settled for a yellow incase for my iPhone. Anyway Apple always rescues me from spending a budget surplus at Colorware by bringing out yet another iPod line variant... or a freaking MacBook Air (I can def forget "budget surplus" for aWHILE now).
 
My vote is for the dark metallic red. Sounds nice. Be sure and post pictures of the finished product whatever color you choose.
 
Ouch. 🙁 I thought it came out pretty well... other then the colorware problem with white keys and track pad...

I am experimenting with dying keys, but i still have the trackpad coloring problem.
