How to recover data backup using Time machine to another computer
Hi,
I have one laptop and one desktop (iMac), both running leopard and back up using time machine. My laptop dies. How do I recover files from the backup of the laptop to my desktop??? thanks Keelie |

Connect the drive to your iMac, then navigate the folder tree of the latest backup on the drive and copy over the files you want. Because they're different machines, you can't use the Time Machine interface to browse backups (since they don't correspond to the files and folders that are on your machine).
