want to use time capsule with 2 macs, will internet suffer?

hi there,

i plan on picking up a TC 1TB for my mac pro and macbook air. i will be connecting the mac pro via ethernet and the macbook air via wifi. now my question, will the occasional backup in the background slow down my network and internet?
 
I have my wife's macbook doing the backups on my 500gb TC wirelessly, and then I have my dell hooked up with ethernet and I never notice any slowdowns while hers is backing up. Its truly out of sight out of mind..
 
I have 4 Macs (2 wireless) backing up to the Time Capsule and have seen no network performance issues. All I see is the little clock spinning in the upper right hand corner to tell me it’s working.
