Bose Sound Dock compared to Harman Kardon

I am looking at an iPod sound docking station I can take to the beach. I listened to them in the Apple store but can't tell which one will have a full and big enough sound for the beach. Which is better quality and best sound between the Bose and Harman Kardon. Should I look at another brand?

I have not had experience with either sound dock, however I can tell you my experience with Bose has been great over the years. The quality is there and if you have any issues Bose stands behind everything they make. I just had a friend who had a Wave Music System and the CD drive went out on it. He sent it in and they fixed it for free. Now this probably isn't a big deal, however it was 2 years past warranty.

You may want to try the Altec Lansing M602. It is much less expensive than the Bose and HK, and it gets excellent reviews. It has a 9.2/10 user rating on CNET, which is very high for a consumer product.

Right now, it is $50 after rebates at Radio Shack.

Oh, I also like the Griffin Amplifi. It sounds pretty good, and I think that it is one of the best looking iPod speaker sets.
