macOS I have 2 question

Hello guys, I am a student, and we are learning PIC MICROCONTROLLER and embeded SYSTEMS ,using assmebly and C for pic18, and i will also learn C++ this summer, Unfortunetly, i couldnt find MPLAB ( which we use in the lab for pic18) and i also curious is there a program to write these codes because i also want to study at home.

I looked into doing this at one point and was able to actually get code to compile, but it's a little tricky as you have to compile it via the Terminal.

I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure SDCC was what I used.

well thank you very much for your help there were programs, the ones i found needs to be change something in computer, and i didint understand. is there any other easy application like notepad ? = )?
